Boutique Winery & Cellar Door Tours

Winter Weekend Winery Trips are very desirable, especially when you travel in a small group, going to a select number of winery cellar doors, with a great lunch venue to frame the day around.

Melbourne Vintage Kombi Hire has two fully restored vintage Kombi, or Combi as some call them, and are ideal for bespoke, customised winery tours, especially of the Yarra Valley Wineries, Macedon Rangers & Daylesford Wine Regions and off course Mornington Peninsula vineyards and cellar doors.

We believe our Kombi Winery Tours are a fabulous way to fully enjoy the Yarra Valley, Macedon Ranges & Mornington Peninsula winery and cellar doors  and you will really enjoy the experience.

We are very familiar with all the well-known and the more interesting new emerging wineries in these areas. In fact, we delight in building bespoke itineraries that allow for some great locations, lunch along the way (if required) and some fabulous cellar doors!

If you want, we can assist with recommendations and advice based on our extensive experience on wineries, beer venues and restaurants. If you would also like us to develop a draft itinerary for your review.

When we do a winery tour, we plan the trip around the Lunch Venue – may sound silly, but we know that a key part of having a great relaxing day, is selecting a fantastic lunch venue and then work around the wineries and cellar doors you plan to visit.

Our recommendation is that you look at a venue/location for Lunch and then work the itinerary around this. From  experience this is the key to a great day – the Lunch venue, where you will probably spend 1:00 to 1:5 hours, then consider if you want to visit a winery on the way (We have some just out of Melbourne we can recommend) or after Lunch. Try not to do more than 3 wineries, as this can get rushed. From our observations the best is always – Lunch then 1 -2 wineries, with the last being a nice chill-out location to end the day. We are also absolutely OK if you want a format that visit’s many wineries as well.

We also travel to the wineries via scenic roads, that honestly only add an extra 10 minutes travelling time, but you miss all the typical highways, lights and get to the Yarra Valley via a very enjoyable route and no traffic. We know these roads from our local experience and experience over 15+ years. There are also some hidden wineries along this route!

So, give us a call or contact us and we will respond with all the information you will need and will be more than happy to develop an itinerary or provide suggestions wineries and restaurants to ensure a great day out
